The first 30-60 minutes of your morning are some of the most important when trying to see faster results. I always tell my clients, "if you start your day off right, the rest of your day will go well too!" And...
What you put into your body first thing in the morning is important, especially if you are wanting to get in better shape. Yet...
So many people get confused on what they should eat in the morning, especially when it comes to carbohydrates...
For many of my clients, making just ONE simple change to your first meal has dramatically improved their results. So...
That simple recommendation is starting your day with a HIGH PROTEIN breakfast. Something like eggs, bacon and eggs, chicken sausage, a protein shake, a yogurt bowl, etc.
But what about carbs for breakfast?
As you may already know, I love Intermittent Fasting which means that my first 1-2 hours after waking up, I enjoy lots of water and 1-2 cups of coffee. Then, I enjoy my first meal. I'll explain more on the next page... But first let's talk about the best foods to break your fast with.
I always recommend some protein, like eggs, turkey, bacon, greek yogurt, etc. Then, if I am eating higher carb that day, I'll add in one of the carbs below:
1) Sweet potatoes are one of the best carbs you can eat.
They are packed with tons of vitamins, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory nutrients, and more. Plus, they are perfect for breakfast!
Have you ever tried sweet potato pancakes?! AH-MAZING!
2) Potatoes are an another amazing carb option. They are easy to digest, keep you full, and are packed with vitamins and nutrients to allow your body to perform at its best.
Some great options in the morning are breakfast potatoes, hash browns, or potato pancakes. All delicious!
3) Steel Cut Oats are low on the glycemic index, steel cut oats help keep you satisfied for longer while preventing dips in blood sugar.
A great option for steel cut oats is making overnight oats. You can pack in the protein and healthy carbs with this one!
Just making this one small change and switching to eating the RIGHT foods when you break your fast can make a huge difference in the results you see.
Combine this with Intermittent Fasting, and you will be loving the results you see!
The simple changes that you can make that I am going to show you on the Next Page, are really going to be helpful...
