What Are The 5 Best Exercises For Burning More Calories In Your Workouts?

BY KELSEY HEENAN, HIITBURN.com

If you are trying to burn more fat and get a leaner body, it should be no surprise that burning more calories in your workouts is a great way to help you get there.

Yet, one of the biggest mistakes I see people make is doing the wrong exercises.

You see, the more calories you can burn both during and after your workouts, the better results you are going to see. Makes sense, right?

So today, I want to share with you 5 exercises that you can do that can help you burn more calories in your workouts. Let's start with #5...

#5 - Rowing Machine (can burn up to 11+ calories per minute)

During my research, I found SO many celebrities who would include the rowing machine into their workouts to get ready for their next role. It can burn over 11-calories per minute, and I personally find this to be one of the best forms of cardio training around.

#4 Burpees (can burn up to 13+ calories per minute)

You activate over 639 muscles when you do the burpee so it’s no wonder this burns so many calories. Try adding burpees to the end of your training routine to finish your workouts off right. And if you can't do a full burpee, there are plenty of great variations that you can choose from.

#3 - Jumping Rope (can burn up to 19+ calories per minute)

This simple but powerful movement brings some serious results. This is the reason so many athletes and celebrities include jumping rope into their workouts. Not only does it burn a ton of calories, it is a low impact movement which means it's easy on the body.

#2 - Kettlebell Swings (can burn up to 20+ calories per minute)

You may not think of the kettlebell swing as a "calorie burner", but research has shown that the basic kettlebell swing can burn over 20 calories per minute. Plus, this works just about every muscle in your body and can help with improving posture, strength, and endurance.

#1 - Sprints (can burn up to 25+ calories per minute)

I LOVE Sprints. There is a reason sprinters are in such great shape. If you want to burn more calories, add sprinting into your training. One study showed that just 2.5 minutes of sprinting could burn over 200 calories! Not bad for just 2.5 minutes of work, right?!
