3 Ways To Push Past (And Avoid) Fat Loss Plateaus...
Author, Kelsey Heenan
You've been working hard and seeing great fat loss results, then BOOM! Out of nowhere, everything seems to just stop...
And maybe it's even stopped for a few weeks in a row, even though you haven't changed a thing from what was bringing you results in the first place...
This, my friends, is the dreaded plateau.
And when this happens, many people are tempted to just say "this isn't working" and give up. However...
Just hold on one second! As you'll see in this article, you can easily push past that plateau and even avoid them in the future.
Hitting a plateau is very common in everyone's fitness journey. In fact, if you have hit a plateau, that means you are doing something right. So congratulations! That said...
You just need to make a few small tweaks to get everything back on track. Below I will cover the 3 techniques that you should use to get through your plateau...
Technique #1: Change up your diet...
Our bodies are made to adapt. So when you do the same thing for a period of time, eventually your body adapts and results start to slow down.
In our Carb Cycling programs, we restructure the cycle every 3-6 weeks to ensure results continue to come. This is what keeps your body guessing.
The same things is true if you've been following low carb, high carb, pales, etc. Try changing things up a bit or better yet, try carb cycling which is what many use to get through their plateau.
Technique #2: Increase your calories...
It's tempting to want to lower your calories during a plateau, which is why it may sound counterproductive to increase your calories when you hit a plateau. However, it works. You see...
Often times when you are in a calorie deficit for too long (which most people are when dieting), your metabolism starts to slow down. And one of the best ways to refuel and fire up your metabolism is with more calories.
Again, this is why we love Carb Cycling, as has you do this on a weekly basis by including "flex days" to make sure your metabolism continues to stay high. We will discuss more about Flex Days on the NEXT PAGE...
Technique #3: Change up your workouts...
Most people think that in order to break a plateau, they need to exercise more and eat less. Yet, as you just saw with techniques #1 and #2, that's not the solution.
And increasing exercise isn't the answer either (plus, most people don't have time for that). Instead, just try changing up your workouts.
You can do this by following a completely new routine, increasing the intensity of your workouts, adding in strength training, or even taking a few rests days (often times people are over trained and just need a short break).
As you can see, making a few slight changes to what you are doing can make a big difference in the results you see.
In our experience, Carb Cycling is one of the best ways to get through a plateau.
Whether that be changing up your current carb cycle, or starting one if you have never tried it.
On the next page, we will show you the exact Carb Cycle we recommend all our new clients start on and the one we recommend for getting through a plateau... And all you need to do is click the NEXT PAGE button to learn how...
