Today, I wanted to share my top 5 at home exercises for getting more toned:
Exercise #1: Pushups
Improving your pushups is one of the BEST things you can do if you want more toned arms, shoulders, and abs. And right now, is an amazing time to be improving your pushups!
Plus, there are dozens of pushup variations that you can do so that you can continue to progress.
To start, we have Incline Pushups, Pushups, Close Grip Pushups, Dive Bomber Pushups, Explosive Pushups, and many more.
Exercise #2: Bulgarian Split Squats
Probably the BEST overall lower body exercise, the Bulgarian Split Squat. This will hit everything, including your quads, glutes, and hamstrings. Plus, you can add in some fun variations like "Time Under Tension" or "Rest Pause Reps".
If these are too difficult, you can start with Split Squats or Assisted Split Squats.
Once again, the key here is making progress and getting stronger on this movement!
Exercise #3: Sit Through
My go-to at home cardio and ab exercise. The Sit Through gets your heart rate up so quickly and will target just about every muscle in your body, especially your core!
Take this movement slow when you are first learning it, then as you get the technique down you can make it a goal to go faster!
Exercise #4: Jump Lunges
Another GREAT leg exercise, and this time get ready for some serious cardio. Jump Lunges are an amazing way to build leg strength and improve your conditioning.
And like all exercises, there are plenty of great variations to fit your fitness level.
Exercise #5: V-Ups
I had to throw in one direct ab exercise to the mix, and currently my favorite is V-Ups!
These are SO tough and you'll start feeling the burn after 5-10 reps. If these are too difficult, try placing your hands behind you to start out for some extra support.
Of course, these are just 5 of the many GREAT exercises that you can be doing at home to get more toned.
