INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for participating in the #HIITBURNMETHOD videos! We are so excited to have you join the movement. Below is an outline of what you will need to know to participate.

The end product will be at least one video that is one-minute long. If you can provide more videos, that would be amazing! The more videos you are able to provide the better, but we would request at least one. You can also provide pictures as well with your #HIITBURNMETHOD Guide, using the mini bands, and/or doing exercises!

1. WATCH THE DEMO VIDEO

Here are a couple of examples for how we will edit the videos! You do not need to do any video editing - we will do all of that!

Unedited Video Examples (what you will send to us!):

Edited Video Examples (that we will make from your videos):

2. CHOOSE EXERCISES

You will not be doing an entire workout on camera, but rather demonstrating a couple of reps on a few different exercises for a one-minute long demonstration.

Look at the workouts in your #HIITBURNMETHOD Guide and choose a workout that has some exercises that you would like to do. If you need to modify the exercises, simply find the modifications section of the guide and find exercises that you can do for your fitness level.

Choose 3 or 4 exercises in the workout that you will demonstrate. You will be doing 5-10 reps on each exercise and repeat the circuit for one-minute! This way, we can have you do a few different exercises during the minute, which will make it fun and interesting to watch!

3. SHOOT THE VIDEOS

Again, the more videos you can do the better, but we would love at least one. Either use a tripod or a friend with a steady hand who can help you shoot! See the next section for additional tips on shooting the video.

Since each video will be around a minute long, you can shoot multiple videos in a day and as many different videos as you would like.

Start the video by standing close to the camera and showing the cover of the #HIITBURNMETHOD Guide (see the demo video where Kelsey shows this), then go to the area where you will be doing the exercises, set your guide down next to you and do the exercises!

We will edit the videos, to be one-minute long of exercises, so it's ok if the video that you send is a little bit longer than one-minute. Focus on quality over quantity when doing the exercises, we describe this in more detail in the next section.

After you do the exercises for one-minute, you can stop and just smile at the camera, or give a wave, do a fun jump in the air, flex your arm, thumbs up... Really anything you want!

It’s totally fine to have kiddos or pets running around. This is supposed to be fun!

4. SNAP A COUPLE PICTURES

Take a couple of photos of you holding your #HIITBURNMETHOD Guide, the mini bands, and/or doing exercises in your tank/tee. There are no real guidelines around this, just smile and have fun!

5. SEND YOUR VIDEOS AND PHOTOS

Please send your videos and photos to [email protected]. All you need to do is attach the photos and videos to an email and just say in the body of the email that this is content from the #HIITBURNMETHOD participants.

If you do multiple videos and/or a lot of photos, you might need to send them in a couple of emails to ensure they go through properly.

Please email the content to [email protected] and use the subject line:

TIPS FOR VIDEOS

You don't need fancy professional equipment to take great videos! All you need is a smart phone! These are a few simple tips for how to make great videos. The videos don't need to be perfect by any means, but these tips will help guide you through the process.

1. SHOOT IN LANDSCAPE

This means, simply turn your phone sideways, so that when you shoot the video, it's in "landscape" rather than "portrait."

2. FIND THE LIGHT!

Find light and bright areas to shoot. This could be outdoors, at the gym, at home, or anywhere! You just don't want to be dark and shadowy.

3. STAY STEADY

Either use a tripod or a friend with a steady hand who can help you shoot! You can also get creative and set your phone up against books or other things to make a makeshift tripod.

4. FOCUS ON FORM

Focus on quality over quantity when you are doing the exercises. It's better to show a couple of reps of an exercise that have great form vs. a bunch of reps of not great form. Watch the exercises demonstration videos and practice to feel confident in the movements. You'll do awesome!

5. SMILE + HAVE FUN!

It may feel silly to smile when you are doing exercises, but it looks great on camera! You can smile the whole time if you would like, or just crack a smile every now and then. Just know it's ok to have fun and keep it natural!
