For a very long time, dieting and food absolutely CONSUMED my life.
I tried EVERY diet, always jumping from one thing to the next just HOPING it would be the one to get me the results I wanted. Yet...
I never felt "good enough."
I felt like I could always be leaner. I could be more toned. I could lose more weight. And the famous line...
"Once I hit THAT number on the scale, I'll be happy..."
Maybe you've had similar feelings.
This is what I call the "DIETING MINDSET."
And it's something I worked hard to break, and once I did, for the first time in my life I felt FREEDOM in my nutrition. And...
The good news is, with what I am going to show you on this page, I've already done all the hard work for you. You see...
It wasn't until I discovered the crazy powerful combination of Intermittent Fasting + Carb Cycling that I was finally able to find enjoyment in my nutrition.
These two powerful strategies have made nutrition SIMPLE, BALANCED, FLEXIBLE, ENJOYABLE, and SUSTAINABLE!
In fact, I've been using these strategies together for nearly 4 years now! So...
If you're wanting to stop jumping from one diet to the next and finally find FREEDOM in your nutrition, let me show you how...
Before we dive into that, let me first cover WHAT Intermittent Fasting is...
Intermittent Fasting can be defined as an eating pattern where you cycle between periods of eating and periods of not eating (AKA fasting). It's really that simple. Now...
There are many different Intermittent Fasting protocols out there, however, the basics are very much the same. You have a period of eating, followed by a period of fasting, and repeat.
A popular example that you may already be familiar with, is fasting for 16 hours and then having an 8 hour "eating window" where you eat all of your meals for the day. Now...
The main issue I have with the majority of Intermittent Fasting Protocols out there (including the example above) is that they are far too strict. And if you are anything like me, strict or extreme diets are not your style. That's why in just a second, I'll be diving deeper into my go-to Intermittent Fasting Protocol that is much more flexible and enjoyable...
First though, let's talk about WHY Intermittent Fasting works so well...
Now that you have a general understanding of what Intermittent Fasting is, let's cover exactly WHY it works...
One of the main reasons Intermittent Fasting is such a good approach is because your body responds differently when you are in a "fasted" state compared to when you are in a "feasted" state (i.e. consuming food).
When you eat, your body will spend the next few hours breaking down that food and use it as energy. And as you already know, your body needs this energy in order to function properly. Now, during the fasted state...
Your body doesn't have that readily available energy (i.e. the calories from the foods you eat), so it looks for something else to use as energy. And your body is then more likely to use fat as energy because it's the most readily available.
Even better, Intermittent Fasting can help teach your body to use the food you consume more efficiently. In short, you are keeping your body at optimal fat burning levels.
This is often where many people go wrong though when they are first getting starting with Intermittent Fasting, which brings us to the biggest MISTAKE I see people make when it comes to both dieting AND Intermittent Fasting...
Carb Cycling is when you alternate between eating days of higher amounts of carbs and days of eating lower amounts of carbs. It’s really that simple.
There are also “Off Days” which allow you to cycle in your favorite "comfort" foods and include more "flexible meals" so that you can still eat lots of the foods you enjoy on a regular basis.
It’s a pretty great formula, don’t you think? Eat great tasting healthy meals, enjoy some of your favorite "comfort" foods, and still get the results you want.
When you carb cycle, what you are really doing is keeping your body guessing. One day you are having lower amount of carbs and the next your are shocking the body with a higher carb day.
Essentially, you are telling your body to burn fat on low carb days, then when you follow that up with a high carb day, your body gets shocked which allows for you to burn fat while maintaining your lean muscle. In short, when you carb cycle, you keep your body at optimal fat burning levels.
In short, Carb Cycling keeps your body at optimal fat burning levels because of WHEN you eat your carbs.
When you carb cycle, essentially what you are doing, is one day you are telling your body to burn fat while the next day you are telling it to replenish and build muscle.
Even better, with how I teach carb cycling, you do NOT need to worry about counting calories/macros or weighing your food. Instead...
I'll show you a super simple approach that has you focused on the RIGHT foods based on how your body is feeling and the goals you are trying to achieve.
Listen, after all my years of trying just about every possible diet, the biggest mistake that I made and still see people make it this:
In my experience, both in my own personal life and after working with thousands of people across the world, most diets are a short term fix to a long term problem...
That means, most diets CAN bring you results initially.
"You should enjoy the foods you eat, and have freedom & flexibility in your nutrition!"
BUT, what ends up happening is when you transition back into eating normally again, the weight usually comes back, you find yourself obsessing over every gram of food you consume, food becomes unenjoyable because you're being so strict, among many other things...
I've been down this road, and I'll be the first to tell you that it is miserable. Feeling like you are always on a diet is NOT fun. And...
I am here to tell you there is a better, more enjoyable way!
In my experience, counting calories and macros, weighing food, cutting out major food groups (especially the foods you love), eating too low in calories, always being overly strict with your diet... These are setting you up for failure. WHY?
Because if something is too strict or you simply don't enjoy it, chances are you won't be sticking to it for very long. And you'll just end up jumping from one thing to the next, always searching for that "next quick fix". Now that being said...
One of the things I LOVE about Intermittent Fasting and Carb Cycling is that it does bring fast results. On top of that...
I've been doing Intermittent Fasting and Carb Cycling together for 4 years because it's so easy to maintain over time.
And with my approach that you'll see below, you do NOT have to count calories or macros, you can enjoy all the foods you love on a weekly basis, you are not limited to the kinds of foods you can eat, and it's honestly just such a simple and enjoyable way to live!
Even better, if I am looking for an extra boost in results, I can make slight adjustments to get even better results.
Through all my research and testing over the years, I came to the realization that the majority of people (myself included and probably you too), are looking for a few things when it comes to a nutrition approach…
(1) Want A Plan That Works Fast!
(2) Want A Plan That Is Simple!
(3) Want A Plan That Is Sustainable!
(1) Want A Plan That Works Fast!
(2) Want A Plan That Is Simple!
(3) Want A Plan That Is Sustainable!
Listen, your life does NOT and should NOT revolve around dieting. With what I am about to show you, there will be:
If you apply the information below, you are going to finally see there is a simple and enjoyable way to get the results you want...
I'm confident that if you apply what I am about to show you, not only will you see better results... You will ENJOY the process so much more!
LEAN FAST isn't just "another diet". In fact, I hate that word "diet" because it implies something short term.
With how I designed LEAN FAST, it will help bring FAST and LASTING results all while allowing you to enjoy the journey...
Food is fuel. Food is community. Food is energy. Food is essential and good.
So, if you're ready to finally get the fast and lasting results that you've always wanted, then it's time to start LEAN FAST!
You can get started with Lean Fast in just 3 easy steps. And I am going to show you exactly how below:
(1) Start off by pushing your breakfast back by as little as ONE hour - Like I mentioned before, strict and extreme is NOT the way to go. Instead, start out by having a very moderate fast. Depending on when you finish eating the night before, your fast will be about 10-14 hours which is a great starting point. I always recommend a moderate fast, and don't usually recommend fasting for longer than 16 hours!
(2) During your fast in the morning, focus on drinking water (coffee, tea, sparkling water are also great!) - During your fast in the morning, focus on drinking lots of water to rehydrate yourself after a nights rest. You can also add some coffee or tea (in fact, I recommend it) during this period!
(3) Break your fast with some protein and healthy fats - Making this one simple change can make all the difference. Focus your first meal around protein and healthy fats, and push your carbs to your later meals (lunch and dinner). In my experience, protein and fats are the best foods to break your fast with as they will give you a ton of energy and focus throughout the first part of your day!
As you can see, getting started with Intermittent Fasting is NOT hard! And, with how I teach it, it's flexible and enjoyable, it works fast, and it's sustainable over time.
Now that being said, you want to make sure you have a full plan especially when you are just getting started, which is why I want to introduce you to my entire LEAN FAST program...
