"Have You Ever Walked Up A Hill Before?" 

OK, I’m guessing every single person reading this has walked up a hill at some point in their life. And...

You may not know this, but this simple question will actually play a crucial role in helping you see faster results...

So I want you to imagine for a second that you are walking up a hill...

You are probably noticing how much harder and more intense it is compared to walking on flat ground, right?

You see, if you were to walk 100 steps on flat ground versus walking 100 steps up a hill… Even though you are walking the same exact distance... The hill walk would be much harder! 

Now WHY is that?

The VOLUME (the distance in this example) is the exact same... But you've changed the INTENSITY by walking up the hill!

Now, this silly question is about to drastically change the results you see in your workouts in the best way possible... 

And that's because the proper combination of VOLUME & INTENSITY is often what's missing in your workouts when you're trying to see your best results...

Let me explain...

WHAT IS "WORKOUT VOLUME"?

Workout Volume can be described as how much work you do in a single workout. For example, the number of reps you do on a specific exercise or the total number of sets done in a workout. And…

When it comes to getting faster results, volume can play a key part. In fact, it’s one of the best ways to see faster progress and keep getting the results you wantThat said…

This isn't just about doing more reps. Instead...

When you combine Volume with Intensity, this is one of the best one-two punches for your workouts. 

Adding the right amount of intensity to your training can increase your caloric burn (both during and after exercise), can improve overall muscular endurance, increase metabolism, and more.

Going back to our example from earlier...

When you walked 100 steps on flat ground vs 100 steps up the hill, you’re going the same distance (volume) but you’re adding much more intensity with the hill. 

The same is true for your workouts - by strategically pairing VOLUME & INTENSITY, you can start taking your results to the next level simply by making a few slight changes to your workouts... 

Here’s even better news: when you combine Volume and Intensity, your workouts can remain short and super effective (usually around 25-30 minutes is plenty).

When it comes to "Workout Intensity", people often think that they need to do exercise until they can't go anymore. However...

This couldn't be further from the truth. 

Intensity looks different for everyone and is very individualized!

That said, the right intensity in your workouts can unlock incredibly fast results...

Workout Intensity can be described as how hard your body is working during your workouts. And...

Depending on your fitness level, your goals, the exercises you're doing... This will determine the right intensity for YOUR body.

Using our hill walk example from before...

Walking up a hill will be harder for some people than others depending on fitness level, how fast you are walking, how steep the hill is, etc. 

One thing I always tell my clients is this:

Intensity is more important than the length of your workouts!
