Technique #1 - 50/50 Training Splits
Because of where you are at, you want to make sure that you are focusing on two main elements in your training: Intensity and Strength.
That said, I’ve found that when you COMBINE these two into a single session, the results are quite remarkable. And…
The easiest way to do that is through High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT for short).
If you aren’t familiar with HIIT, it’s basically doing short bouts of intense exercise followed by a rest and repeat.
Sounds pretty simple, right? It gets better.
When you add in strength exercises to your interval training, you will be both burning fat and building toned muscle!
So not only will you be building strength with specific exercises, the intensity of your workouts will be through the roof leading to results you didn’t know were possible.

Workout Density refers to the amount of work you perform in a given amount of time.

OK, this is extremely important.
If you’ve been on Instagram recently, I’m sure you have seen all kinds of crazy exercises going around. And…
Although I love trying new exercises, it’s important to remember this:
The BASICS are what bring you the real results!
That being said, variety in your training is important too.
You see, most of the workouts I see people doing only work one plane of motion and one angle. For example, a lot of people who are trying to burn belly fat will do a lot of sit-ups and crunches... but these movements only work a front and back motion. This is known as your frontal plane.
Recently, articles have been circulating that say it is basically pointless to work the frontal plane of motion if you are not working the saggital plane of motion (side to side movements) and the transverse plane of motion (twisting movements) too.
This means that anyone who is only doing crunches, sit-ups, or other frontal plane movements are leaving a lot of results on the table. In fact, think of it this way…
If you are only working one plane of motion, you're only getting 33% of the results you could be since you're only working 1 out of 3 planes of motion!
Now this doesn’t mean you need to do all kinds of crazy exercises. In fact, it’s often the most simple exercises that bring you the best results. And…
This is especially true with your goal of burning body fat and getting more toned.
