We all have the good intentions to get our workouts in and eat healthy, but life happens. We totally get that. Parties, gatherings, stress, and busyness all can contribute to getting us off track with our nutrition and fitness goals.
But we at HIITBURN are here to encourage you and give you 5 tips on how to stay motivated through any season of life with your fitness and nutrition goals!
1.Find Your Why!
With anything that you are trying to accomplish, it is always important to figure out your why. But that, we mean what is your focus, intentions, and desire! Why are you doing it? What is your motivation? Anyone can begin a nutrition and fitness journey. But it takes dedication and focus to chase after your goals and continue with it. if you do not figure out your “why”, then when life gets busy or you get tired, it will be the first thing to leave your schedule.
2.Have Support!
Studies have shown that those who have a workout partner or accountability partners are more consistent with workouts and nutrition long term. Did you know at HIITBURN we run quarterly Challenge Groups? These are packed with amazing workouts for an entire month, nutrition plans and tips, along with tons of support! We know how valuable support is, so that is why we have made it a priority to take care of our HIITBURN people! Also, working out with other people is WAY more fun! That is what we strive to do at HIITBURN! We answer EVERY email we receive and want to be an accessible source to you along your nutrition and fitness journey! You can always reach us with any of your questions at: [email protected] To find out more about our challenges, CHECK IT OUT!
3.Improve Just a Little Bit Each Day.
“Rome wasn’t built in a day.” How many times have you heard that? It is completely a true statement and applies to each of our unique health journeys! You cannot expect to get results overnight. But, with taking each day as an opportunity to improve, you will find success, enjoyment, and purpose for each meal you eat and each workout you complete. At HIITBURN, we always preach consistency over time!
4.Have a Plan.
I love the quote by John Wooden, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” It is so vital to feel set-up for success. We offer TONS of amazing nutrition programs and workout programs that can fit just about anyone’s needs and goals for their health journey and lay out exactly what to do for you! We take pride in helping to simplify health and nutrition and strive to help people become the best versions of themselves! For nutrition, we love carb cycling! We have found it to be the most effective approach to nutrition for both ourselves and the clients we work with! Check out our free Carb Cycling quiz to help determine which cycle schedule would be the best fit for you, we would highly recommend taking that to know how to best apply carb cycling!
5.Redefine Success.
Too many people define success in health by the number on the scale. Here’s the thing, the scale is not the best measure of your progress. With our programs, you will be gaining muscle and losing fat, and the scale cannot differentiate between the two. We suggest taking progress pictures weekly to help really see the true transformation! We suggest that you monitor your results through progress photos, how your clothes fit, and your energy levels. It is also important for you to reflect on what you really want to accomplish. Do you want to fit into the skinny jeans you bought a year ago? Do you want to be able to chase your toddler around at the park and not be winded? Do you want to feel confident again in your own skin? Accomplishing any and all of these is a great way to define success!
6.BONUS: Give Yourself Grace.
We see people give up on their goals and their nutrition and fitness plans because they had one bad weekend of eating or a setback. If you do get off track, there is no need to feel guilt or shame. Acknowledge where you are, and then choose to get right back on track! You have control of your decisions today and it is a new beginning! One bad meal or weekend of indulging or one missed workout will not derail your results. It is all about consistency over time!
