How To Improve Your Self-Talk

As humans, we all deal with self-doubt and negative self-talk. We are often our hardest critic. We believe lies about ourselves or get overwhelmed and believe the lie that there is only one “perfect” body type!

We at HIITBURN, believe that there is no “perfect” body type and that success is and should be defined differently!

Some common beliefs we hear and have believed ourselves include:

“If I weighed ______ amount, I would be happy.”

“ If I were skinnier, then I would have more confidence.”

“If I look like __________, then I will be lovable.”

Do these sounds familiar?

These “if….then” statements are so common in the health and fitness industry, and we believe can lead to toxic thinking…

The problem is these make “success” a number and something that is not necessarily a healthy goal, an attainable and measurable objective, and most likely not sustainable long-term.

Success does and should look different for each person and his or her personal goals, body, and health concerns.

Plus… Remember that”if…then” can also breed jealously, shame and guilt when you make a mistake, and dissatisfaction with yourself.

But we have great news!

We believe there is room for grace for yourself and your health journey and there is a different way to define success. We believe you CAN improve your self-talk and that is an essential key to finding success in your health and fitness goals!

At HIITBURN, our mission is to simplify health and fitness. There are so many different programs out there and tons of information that is can feel overwhelming and confusing.
