How Intuition Can Get You Results!
Intuition. That “gut-feeling”. What if learning to listen to that can make us healthier and happier people?!
Intuition is simply sensing and recognizing what our bodies, minds, and heart need most.
These past years have been ones marked by intentionally learning how to rely on this intuition for lots of areas of my life. And my life is so much better for it.
For example, I have learned to identify when my mind is cluttered and needs some space to be still. I have learned to identify when anxiety in my body seems higher than usual.
I have learned to recognize when my body is screaming for me to lay down and rest. I have also learned to notice when my body is hungry and in need of good nutrients!
I then responded.
I step away from my phone and work when my mind seems overwhelmed and go for a short walk. I practice deep breathing when I feel anxious. I lay down and let myself sleep when I need to…
And I EAT GOOD FOOD when my body is hungry…
In our programs, we teach what is called INTUITIVE EATING.
This is based on the knowledge that we all have the ability to learn how to listen to our hunger cues and know what our bodies most need in order to function well.
What this simply means is to EAT WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY AND UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED.
It sounds simple, but it quite revolutionary for those who are used to being told that you have to follow a rigid diet until the end of time in order to see any results.
We have found that this critical value that we teach is the best way to fuel your metabolism in order to see great results with your body.
Now, we understand that there can be factors that stand in the way of recognizing these proper hunger cues. For example, those who consume lots of refined sugars in their diets will begin to have increased cravings for sweet foods and there may be interference with these natural cues that our bodies give off.
In our programs, we teach you how to eat REAL FOODS.
When we consume these good and nutrient-dense foods, these interferences will begin to fade and we will know how to identify these natural and helpful cues. We then teach to respond to these cues.
To eat some good food when your body says it is in need of it!
We find that those who understand this concept of intuitive eating the best see the most incredible and long-lasting results.
