We all are busy. We all know how valuable our time is. So, how we make sure we optimize our time in regards to our workouts?
Well, we have a few pointers we find helpful to help you get the most out of your workouts and want to share with you!
1) Add in Complex Exercises.
This can be thought of as a two-for-one deal! We always try to throw in a few complex exercises into our workouts, as it works many muscles at the same! Some examples of awesome complex exercises we like to do include: Thrusters, Squat-cleans, and Burpees.
2) Rest Days.
Have you ever heard the term, “Just grind it out”? We here that all the time in the fitness world. But, sometimes that is the worst thing you can do for your body. Burning the candle at both ends is not the way to get the best results. This may sounds counter-intuitive but rest is a huge part of getting the most out of your workouts! Rest has many important parts reaching your fitness goals. One of them is it allows your muscles time to fully recover. If you work, work, and work your body some more and do not give it anytime to recover, it will start to break down. I have found that my best workouts usually come after a day of rest because my body is primed and ready to work really hard! I have given my body time to recover, and so it can take the extra work efficiently!
3) Have a Plan!
Have you ever walked into the gym and contemplated what workout to do? Before you know it you have wasted a lot of precious gym time and have slowly felt more and more unproductive? That is the worst! That is why another tip we have is to have a plan! We offer tons of workout programs that lay out exactly what to do each day, so there is no guessing or wasted time! We recommend including high intensity interval training workouts (HIIT) 3-5x per week to help see awesome results! We have found these types of workouts to be the most effective as you are working towards your goals.
