Most Important Meal Of The Day!

By Dennis Heenan January 7, 2017

Maybe you’ve heard that “breakfast is the most important meal of the day”…

However, several years ago, I was attending a conference when the keynote speaker said something I will never forget…

“Breakfast, lunch, or dinner is NOT the most important meal of the day…

…Your NEXT meal is the most important meal of the day.”

Think about that…

What good is it if you eat a healthy breakfast then go to the office and have 3 donuts for lunch? Of course…

This doesn’t mean you can never enjoy some flex (or cheat) foods. Yet…

Focusing on making your NEXT meal of the day the most important really gets you thinking, doesn’t it?

When it comes to what Dennis and I teach about nutrition, there’s a few things that we often share when it comes to building a healthy meal plan.

1) Cycle your carbs.

Including low/high carb days to your nutrition plan each week is the best way to see results fast.

2) Include protein with every meal.

Eggs, chicken, fish, beef, wild game, bison, lamb, etc.

Include some protein with each meal you have. This is especially important for breakfast as you want to start your day with a high protein, low carb breakfast.

Bacon and eggs is a great example 🙂

3) Each when you are hungry and until you are satisfied.

We don’t count macros or calories and we don’t weight or measure food. Instead…

We focus on eating intuitively. That means listening to your body when you are hungry and finishing when you are satisfied.

That’s exactly what we teach in our Carb Cycling program…

Bonus Tip…

KEEP IT SIMPLE!

Nutrition can often be SO overcomplicated when it doesn’t need to be.

Focus on eating good foods the majority of the time, cycle your carbs, and ENJOY.

Here’s to making your NEXT meal the most important of the day 🙂
