A common question we get from people on our carb cycling programs is,
“What is a good non-egg breakfast option I can eat?”
We love eggs for breakfast, but often times we like to mix it up too! We also know some people cannot eat eggs for health reasons.
So, we want to share with you some of our favorite non-egg breakfasts that we enjoy eating!
First, we want to emphasize that we recommend your breakfast—no matter what you eat—to always be a high-protein meal!
Therefore, any meat proteins such as ground turkey or beef, can be a great option!
Sometimes we like to eat ground turkey, some cooked kale, and some sweet potatoes all mixed like a stir fry! This is a great option for a high carb breakfast!
For a low carb breakfast that is similar, you can cook ground turkey (or any meat), add in some delicious veggies like brussels sprouts or asparagus, and add some avocado or cheese on top!
Both of these are easy, high in protein, have veggies, and are quick and easy to make!
Another great option we enjoy is plain greek yogurt! We do recommend making sure to get the plain kind, and then add in your own toppings for taste. We do not recommend flavored greek yogurt, as it has a lot of added sugar.

Did you know that we love adding Greek yogurt (especially the Siggis brand) to meals! It is a great way to get in some additional protein! Greek yogurt is also full of probiotics (AKA: the good gut bacteria) which is great for digestive health!
Lastly, you can always make a homemade protein shake! This is a great option if you need to hustle off to an event, or meeting, or something!
