The Science of Carb Cycling

At HIITBURN, we love carb cycling!

In fact, if you have followed us for some time now, you probably have heard us rave about the success we have found with carb cycling!

This is because we truly believe in it!

After trying almost every type of diet out there, have found carb cycling to be the most effective and sustainable approach to nutrition for both ourselves and the clients we work with! And best of all, once you get the hang of it, it is really easy to follow!

We feel like we have found a health game-changer and we HAVE to share it with our followers!

One reason we love carb cycling is that it has given us freedom in eating and flexibility with life circumstances that come up. It helps us keep a balanced life while also being sustainable long term!

I could go on and on…. But, I want to give some awesome science behind why carb cycling works and is so effective!

Carb cycling is our favorite nutritional strategy because it is simple and fundamental. You are eating protein, veggies, healthy fast, and carbs—all fundamental nutrients that everyone’s body needs. But, carb cycling helps you know when is the best time to eat certain nutrients!

Let’s break down the importance of each of the main fundamental nutrient groups:

Proteins: Our bodies use protein to grow and repair tissues! It is a vital building block of muscles, bones, skin, blood, cartiliage, and more!

Carbohydrates: Our body uses carbs to make glucose, which in turn is our main source of energy!

Vegetables: Our bodies need these for the dense nutrients that are used to fight off diseases and illnesses. They help our body’s maintenance and overall health.

Healthy Fats: Our bodies need these to absorb certain nutrients, like vitamins. It is also a major way our body stores energy.

Carb cycling teaches to eat all four of these major nutrient groups and allows you to burn fat while also building muscle and perform well in your workouts and day to day tasks!

We hope we have helped you learn more about why we LOVE carb cycling so much and why getting all major nutrients is important for your body to function to its best capacity!
